Motorised ZIP Screens Installed in Kildare
AD Solutions supplied and installed a set of motorised ZIP screens in Kildare to create a more sheltered and comfortable covered outdoor area. The system was designed to improve privacy, reduce exposure to wind and provide practical shading without making the space feel fully enclosed.
The installation combines a RAL 9005 black frame with R300 1% screen fabric, giving the finished system a clean and modern appearance that works well with contemporary outdoor spaces.
A More Comfortable Covered Outdoor Space
ZIP screens are a practical way to make a patio, pergola or covered seating area more usable throughout the year. By reducing wind exposure and filtering strong sunlight, they can make the space noticeably more comfortable while still allowing natural light to enter.
For this project, the screens were installed around the open sides of the covered area, helping to create a more private and protected environment for outdoor seating and everyday use.
Black RAL 9005 Frame with R300 1% Fabric
The RAL 9005 black finish gives the screen system a strong architectural look and blends naturally with darker structural elements. The R300 1% fabric was selected to provide effective screening, glare reduction and privacy while maintaining a modern exterior finish.
A 1% openness fabric offers a high level of screening, making it particularly suitable where privacy and solar control are important.
Stable ZIP-Guided Screen System
Unlike a standard free-hanging outdoor blind, a ZIP screen runs securely within side guides. This helps keep the fabric tensioned and reduces movement, producing a cleaner appearance and better performance in exposed outdoor locations.
The enclosed side-guided design also helps create a more finished appearance around the structure.
Convenient Motorised Operation
The screens are motorised, allowing them to be raised or lowered quickly depending on the weather, sunlight or level of privacy required. Motorisation makes larger outdoor screens much easier to use and gives the installation a more refined finish.
